How to ask

To close your own account you do not need to write to us. Open the app, tap the account icon on the home screen and choose खाते कायमचे बंद करा. Your sign in, your profile and your row in the committee list of every mandal you joined are removed there and then. In a mandal you registered yourself the row stays, because it is what the app reads to know the mandal still has someone answerable for it. To have that one go as well, or the whole mandal with it, write to us.

Write to us for anything else on this page: deleting a whole mandal, removing a donor’s details, or when you have lost access to the account and can no longer sign in to it. Send a message to contact@notragnar.com from the same email address you use to sign in to the app, whether that is a Google account, an email and password, or Apple. If you signed in with Apple and chose to hide your address, write from the relay address Apple gave you, since that is the one the app has. So we can be sure the request is really yours. Say which of these you want.

We reply within 7 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days of confirming who you are.

Deleting only part of your data

You do not have to close your account to have something removed. Write to the same address, say what should go, and we will remove it. The requests we can act on are these.

Tell us which mandal and which record. A receipt number is the quickest way to point at one. The same 7 and 30 day timings apply.

One thing we will not remove on request: a receipt's serial number, or the fact that a receipt exists. That number was handed to a donor and the mandal's accounts are counted on it. The details on it can be cleared; the entry itself stays unless the whole mandal is deleted.

What gets deleted

If you ask us to delete your account, we remove:

If you are the person who registered the mandal and ask for the mandal to be deleted, we additionally remove:

What is not deleted

Deleting your own account does not delete your mandal's accounts. Receipts you filed stay in the mandal's book, because they are the mandal's financial record and the other members still answer for them. Your name stays on receipts you issued for the same reason. If you want those removed as well, the person who registered the mandal has to ask for the mandal to be deleted.

Receipts already handed to donors, whether printed, sent as a PDF or delivered on WhatsApp, cannot be recalled. Neither can a report someone has already exported.

A Vargani Pro pass belongs to the mandal, not to the member who paid. Closing your account neither cancels it nor refunds it; it keeps running for the mandal's other members until it ends. The purchase record itself is held by Google Play or the App Store and by RevenueCat under their own terms; what we hold, the pass on the mandal, is deleted with the mandal. Refunds are asked of the store, as the terms say.

Google keeps its own operational and backup records under its own retention terms. The app has shown no advertising since version 1.6.0; for advertising data an earlier version may have left with Google AdMob, use your phone's advertising settings, listed in the privacy policy.

Uninstalling the app

Uninstalling removes the offline copy of the data from your phone. It does not delete anything from Firebase, and it is not a deletion request. If you want your data deleted, send the email above.
